"Leadbull" (leadbull911)

Last week, Raphael posted !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , proposing that the Jaaaaag XJ6 is the prettiest modern sedan ever made.
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
It stirred up quite a controversy. So, Oppo, what do you think? Which sedans give you the tingly winglies down in your thingies?
The criteria:
Only postwar cars and beyond
That includes cars presently on sale/slated for production
No Panthers. Suck it.
Happy arguing!

This definitely isn't the best looking, but I always thought the Volvo S40 R-Design was incredibly handsome for a compact sedan.

I'm gonna have to go with the E39 5 series. Even in non-M5 or M-Sport guise. They still look fresh and timeless to me 16 years after they first debuted. Particularly the LCI/facelifted post-2001 models.

If I ever wrote science fiction I would give that thing a hover conversion.
Because it would look perfect with dieselpunk equipment hanging out the back and leaving fire trails as it zooms past 88mph to commence temporal displacement.

First choice since i'm well; a commoner.
2nd choice; for when my stock splits (lol). The proportions are kinda awkward but it works, saw the V12 S version i Denver this year - just stunning.
Its so well appointed; I don't care about the exterior as much, and besides V12 + friends = win.
And when you tire of the interior appointments and the howling engine - you can get fucked up and play checkers.

Totally agree on the E39 M5. Muscular, yet understated. The lines conservative, the wheels are perfect and the small decklid spoiler and quad pipes show it means business. Personally, I have been underwhelmed (to be very kind) with the looks of every BMW that has followed.
